Our Mission

What We Believe

Bible

The bible is the Word of God written by human authors under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit because of that, it is without error. The bible is final authority of faith and life of the believer.

2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21

God

God is the creator and governor of the universe. One God always existing in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit which are co-existent and co-eternal.

Genesis 1:26-27; Psalms 90:2; Matthew 3:16-17; 2 Corinthians 13:14

Trinity

God has existed eternally. He is all-knowing, all-present and all-powerful. One substance in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Although their functions are different, they are one by nature, authority, attributes, power, and glory.

Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22; 2 Corinthians 13:14; John 5:21-23, 14:10, 16; Acts 5:3-4

Jesus

Jesus is the Son of God conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, completely human and completely God. Jesus lived a sinless life and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice dying on the cross for the forgives of all. Jesus rose from the dead on the third day, ascended to heaven and will return as King of kinds and Lord of lords.

Matthew 1:18-25; John 1:14; Isaiah 7:14; Philippians 2:6-11; Romans 1:3-4; 1 Timothy 6:14-15.

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and Son. He was active in the creation and continues to be present in the life of the believer at the moment of salvation. The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He sanctifies, seals, baptizes, teaches, gives wisdom, spiritual gifts and helps the believer.

John 16:7-13; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 6:19; Genesis 1:2; Phillipians 1:14.

Man

Man was created by God according to His image but sinned and broke the relationship he had with God, which resulted in physical, spiritual and eternal death. Therefor humanity is born with a sinful nature unable to justify themselves and in need of a Savior.

Genesis 1:26-27; 3:1-6; Romans 1:18-32; Romans 3:10-24; 5:12

Salvation

Salvation is a gift from God. Jesus Christ sacrificed his life by shedding his blood and dying for the sins of humanity so that we may be reconciled with God the Father. To believe in His death and resurrection is sufficient payment for the penalty of sin. It is thru faith in Jesus Christ that we find salvation.

John 3:16; Titus 3:4-5; Acts 16:31; Ephesians 2:8-10; Romans 5:1; 10:9-10.

Church

The church is the body of Christ made up of believers whose faith is placed in Jesus. The church is committed to preach and obey the Word of God, exercise the gifts, rights, privileges and responsibilities given them by the Father.

1 Corinthians 1:2; 7:17; Matthew 16:18-19; 18:15-20; Ephesians 1:22-23; 5:23; 1 Timothy 3:1-15

Baptism

Baptism by immersion symbolizes the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is a public declaration of having accepted Jesus as Lord and personal Savior. Baptism alone does not save, but it is an obedience to Christ.

Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:41; Colossians 2:12-13

Eternity

Man was created to live eternally, this eternity is lived in one of two places: eternally separated from God by sin or in unity with God thru forgiveness and salvation. The place of eternal separation from God is called hell and the place of eternal life with God is called heaven.

John 3:16, Romans 6:23, Matthew 25:41; 1 John 5:11-12; Revelation 21:27
